Open Drains in a Neighborhood

Would you want this drain in your yard? This is Teena's 7 yr old Grandson, Christian, who fits with PLENTY of room to spare. Imagine if it rained and water was flowing, it could suck him right into the bay.

The Community of Bay Oaks Harbor is getting paved roads, which is AWESOME... except the holes of course. Will it take a death of a child to make something happen here?

The City of Baytown (www.baytown.org) apparently thinks this is OK to leave 23"x11" to 29"x13" holes in the yards of the neighborhood... Nelson at Angel Brothers Construction who is doing the roads seems to think a "small animal might fit thru the hole but certianly not a child". This from a company who has spent the better part of the past 40 years building a "solid reputation of superior construction" (according to their website www.AngelBrothers.com)

We have repeatedly called the City of Baytown Project Planner, Jeff Becktold {sp} only to repeatedly get his voice mail which he has NOT responded to. (281.420.6545 ext 5886)

this is Teena in the smallest hole we measured, which is approx 20 feet from her back door

he fits with plenty of room to spare
